Traditional flight cases are made with laminated plywood panels that are riveted to extrusions. While this is robust, we have opted to use lightweight, open-core panels that are bonded to the extrusions. This allows us to manufacture cases with a much cleaner appearance, reduced weight, and far fewer rivets in the construction, giving us a significant advantage in production time compared to plywood flight cases.
We finish our flight cases using anodization or powder coating on the case extrusions, making them more durable than the plain-finished extrusions used by most other flight case manufacturers.
Most other flight case manufacturers use a simple aluminum corner extrusion, which features an outer and inner section to enhance strength compared to a basic corner. However, it falls far short of the strength provided by the exclusive box-section extrusions we use.
